G’day, I’m Jason Dodds.
Dodds Excavations has its roots going back to 1976, when my father, Allan Dodds, started the business with a backhoe. Over the years he expanded into larger machinery, including an excavators and a Caterpillar 943 tracked loader, commonly known as a Drott.
Dad built a strong reputation throughout the Hawkesbury area, with much of his work coming through word of mouth and repeat customers. His approach was simple: do a good job, treat people fairly and build lasting relationships with customers.
I joined Dad in the business a few years before he passed away in July 2000. I decided to continue the business and carry on the same values he had built it on.
Over the years I have worked both directly for my own customers and alongside larger companies on major civil and infrastructure projects, including the M5 Cooks River Tunnel, Westlink M7 Motorway, Northwest Transitway, Hume Highway duplication near Wagga Wagga, the Hunter Expressway, sewer and treatment plant works at Millfield, Paxton and Ellalong, and maintenance work for Sydney Water.
In 2014, my family and I relocated to Summerland Point, where we now enjoy living and working throughout the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle and Hunter regions.
Today, I continue to run Dodds Excavations with the same old-school values I learnt from my father — personal service, honest communication, reliable machinery and taking pride in every job I undertake.
